• However, when excess protein has already altered the natural balance of our body, a certain amount is stored as excess fat and the other part is converted to nitrogen was later eliminated by the kidneys. When a person is working well, there is no risk, but overloading when damaged by disease (even when not detected) could cause serious trouble.

• This is why people who have some alteration in the normal function of your kidneys may be recommended a diet low in protein and almost vegetarian to prevent the development of severe kidney disease and the consequent need for dialysis.

• For this reason, make it a process for avoiding protein your body needs.

Also:

• There is also much speculation as to whether the proteins, especially meat, are related to atherosclerosis and high blood pressure. This theory proposed 70 years ago returns with greater force, though many experts still believe that fats are the only enemies of the cardiovascular system.

• For other diseases, some researchers believe are linked to breast cancer, uterus, colon, rectum, prostate, pancreas and kidney. One study found that those who ate lots of meat had 250% chance of developing cancer in the pancreas.

• Furthermore, in another animal study found that high concentrations of protein and certain amino acids may develop several types of cancer.

In general, a diet low calorie protein (5%) seems to halt tumor growth in animals. By contrast, if consumption is 20 to 25% of calories promotes their emergence. Many of us consume the same amount of calories in protein though the average should be 15%.

A good reason to reduce their intake is this possible connection to cancer, although many of these studies were done in relation to animal protein, rather than the plant, but said that the latter is not totally innocent.
